Judy Christensen
Bio: Judy has been with AFTER SCHOOL since September 2002. Her experience working with children includes being an elementary school teacher and substitute, and working in Scouting and summer camp programs. Judy enjoys doing crafts, traveling, and taking in Packers, Brewers and Bucks games. She has a cute cat named “Chance” and enjoys spending time with her grown son, Chad.
"I love working with kids when I can see in their faces their excitement about learning and doing new and challenging things. Kids are the hope for the future. To know I had a part in creating this hope is very gratifying! I want to make a difference!"
Meadowbrook's programs are located in the school gym. The program space includes building, art and crafts, homework and game areas. The outdoor space houses basketball courts, baseball fields and well-used tether ball poles. The children like to spend time reading and drawing in the community garden. The staff emphasizes respect, cooperation and creativity with the children. Hands-on projects include weaving and building with different materials. Seasonal activities such as candle making are also featured. Meadowbrook offers Before School, AFTER SCHOOL BOOST and Club programs.
