Chantelle Ellingson

Bio: 

Chantelle Ellingson has been with AFTER SCHOOL since December 2005. Chantelle has a degree as an Instructional Assistant. Her experience working with children includes her time at AFTER SCHOOL, student teaching, tutoring, home schooling and being a nanny. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, her cat Emmy, dancing , photography and decorating.

"Children are the future! It is our job as educators to teach them life skills, help them to become responsible and to provide the tools and knowledge to be successful."

The program at Poplar Creek is held in Room 106.  This warm and inviting space is dedicated to the AFTER SCHOOL program and is decorated with projects the children created. Learning to cook, knitting scarves and doing latch hook are all popular activities at Poplar Creek. The children enjoy seasonal crafts and putting on dramatic performances. Construction with Legos and blocks is also popular. Outside, the children enjoy extensive playground equipment and play games with staff on several large open fields. Poplar Creek offers Before School, AFTER SCHOOL BOOST and Club programs.
