Jessica Heyer

Bio:

Jessica started with AFTER SCHOOL in the summer of 2011.  Her previous experience includes student teaching with 2nd graders at Heyer Elementary in Waukesha, and a K-3rd grade special education class at Pewaukee Lake Elementary in Pewaukee. Jessica loves to see children do something that they have never done, using their recently learned skills to accomplish it.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her daughter, watching and going to sporting events, as well as scrapbooking and cooking.

Dousman's AFTER SCHOOL program is housed in the school cafeteria, where children can take part in a variety of indoor activities, including cooking projects, games, homework, and crafts.  It's an opportunity for children to make friends and expand their interests.  The program has a large outdoor space that offers an extensive playground with new equipment, a soccer field for sports and games, and a beautiful garden to explore.  Dousman offers Before School, and AFTER SCHOOL BOOST and Club programs.  Dousman AFTER SCHOOL is a choice-based program.  We believe in offering many opportunities for kids to have fun and explore their interests.  Kid input is important too!  We encourage their suggestions for safe, appropriate activities.  We provide a welcoming atmosphere that supports friendships and builds social skills, daily homework time with adult help and outdoor play every day (weather permitting) for good health.
