Parent Involvement

Parent involvement in AFTER SCHOOL programs is welcomed and encouraged. Staff can better serve children if they know them well and that includes knowing their families. You are encouraged to develop a working relationship with your child's after school supervisor and specialists and to be sure to keep them informed about any concerns you have or changes in your family life that may affect your child's needs.

Children enjoy having guests visit their programs to share ideas or skills. It's especially fun when the expert visiting is Mom or Dad! Occasionally extra adults are needed for field trips or to help with more complicated projects like cooking, sports leagues or carpentry. If you would like to share a special talent or help out at AFTER SCHOOL speak with your child's site supervisor to learn about ways you can be involved.

Summer Day Camp Friday Festivals

Each Friday afternoon the camp has a celebration of the week.  Included is an opportunity for groups to share their week followed by an all-camp activity guaranteed to end the week with fun and festivities!  Parents are welcome at the Friday Festival and encouraged to join in the fun!
